Orb Pic?

here is a picture that was taken of me and what I believe to be an orb on my face. At first I thought it was dust but seems too large and odd to be dust let me know what you think. I know this has to do with the Cleveland area, Although I use to live in the Painesville area when I was a kid. Hi! Boy have I got a story for you! With proof! First I would like to say that I never got to surf the internet much til now. So, when I came across your site I got so excited I HAVE to tell you this story that happened in 1996! The TRUE story:

I'm 31 years old, and have lived in northeast Ohio my whole life. I practically grew up at Strawberry Lane, the duck pond with the animal building, and Squire's Castle. We used to play hide and seek in the Castle millions of times my whole life. Well, one night, in 1996, my friend and I were driving around the area at between 9-10 at night and I decided to take him to Squire's Castle and I told him that it was supposed to be haunted and so we were gonna go and see if it was true and maybe we'd catch a ghost. So we went to the store and bought flashlights and a tape recorder and blank tapes. We then went to the Castle and it early winter time, a warm night, hadn't snowed yet for the season, but all the fall leaves were gone from the ground. We were very scared walking up that pitch black path even with the flashlights. As we neared the castle 3 or 4 people were leaving and walking toward the parking lot. They were talking loudly. And we went in the castle and there was no one else in there. We went into the Library (which at the time I didn't know that, I didn't find out that that room was a library til many years later. Back then there were no signs on the wall about the castle and the windows didn't have bars on them.) and when we made sure we were totally alone, we heard the people talking out in the parking lot. I found a nook/cranny in the wall where it meets the floor (there are none nowadays in that room, they're all sealed up with cement) and pressed record on the tape recorder and made sure it worked, and then put it in the nook with the microphone facing out. We checked to make sure that you really couldn't see. Then we left. We were the only car in the parking lot when we were leaving, and we left for an hour and a half. Then we came back and retrieved the tape recorder. So, I have a tape recording. SCARY SHIT! I still have it today, and have played it for many friends of mine. Okay, now, things I gotta say about this tape: 1) After it was turned on, you can hear us talking about putting it somewhere. Then you can hear us putting it in the nook. Then you can hear us talking some more, then you can hear us walking away. There is a faint laugh in the beginning we think could possibly have been those people out in the parking lot when they were leaving, but we don't remember for sure. Then all of a sudden a different tone of empty air starts and a repetitious clicking starts. Then you hear a low deep moan. 2) Then you hear what sounds like leaves rustling around on the floor (there were none). Then years later, when I found out that room was a library I realized that sound wasn't leaves rustling, it must've been pages of a book!! 3) It was a tape that had 30 minutes length on a side (only used one side, of course, we weren't there to flip it over to the other side) and we were gone for an hour and a half, and it was still on and recording when we came back to get it, and it was only about 5 minutes into recording of tape length!!! 4) You can hear us putting the tape recorder down, walking away to leave, we left for an hour and a half, and when we came back you can hear us walking in and picking up the tape recorder, and all on the first less than 5 minutes of tape!!! 5) There is no way anyone could've come after we left and messed with it because you can hear if people walk in or out, and you can hear when the tape recorder is being picked up and put down, and it was all just us, so no one messed with it. 6) You can also hear a scream that just suddenly cuts in and sounds otherwordly, and there are parts in it like it's skipping at different speeds and there are other weird noises to that I can't explain.

Stone Cabin / Outhouse and Mentor Rd. bridge

This is where I live! That is the Stone Cabin along with the latrine. It's all sandstone so I assume it is very old. I tried to take a couple pics of the inside through the window, but guess what? ---- they didn't develop! Wtf?!! Creepy.
I checked the negatives and I can barely make out anything. But to see it in person, you'll find it is very very very old on the inside and there were coyote tracks everywhere (just adds to the creepiness)... the bridge tunnel is neat too. There are many signs of old foundations and man made rocks - even rock piles set up like in the Blair Witch movie (maybe a marker for the horseback riders??) Now this is all PRIVATE PROPERTY so I know there aren't people back there everyday just creating the illusion of fabled tales and myths. I am a very logical person and am not here to tell you that this is all the works of the devil... I have even been back to the cabin with no flashlight, all by myself - walked down the stairs beside the cabin leading to the creek and sometimes I think I'm crazy for doing so, but I just have to find "something". I'll do more research back there at night when I get my 22 mag. back from my brother - A run-in with those coyote's would be f&^%%$ scary without some sort of protection. Hell, they even come up to the house now!! So I have been staying put. But if anyone out there knows anything about the history of this little area your info would be greatly appreciated. I strongly believe it may be either ghosts of unrest or just some "thing" evil out there.

Something Back There

I have submitted the Witches Grave Pics, the bar and Gore Orphanage - recently I have moved to Mentor Rd. in Chardon. Facing my house and pointing right (north) is an old schoolhouse (prob. as old as the one I live in, about 150 yrs. old) - turned into a home. The nearest road (still pointing north) is the famous "Wisner Rd." Now Pointing south, the first house is condemned and run down, and after that is the cemetery across from Hermitage Rd. If you walk into my back yard (woods) about 500 paces there is a Stone Cabin, probably over 100 yrs. old. So I live smack dab in the middle of some folklore and oldtime ghost stories. I step out to have a cigarette around 11:30pm or so and I can hear gunshots and a woman screaming bloody murder "Nooooo!!" Usually I count 8 shots and three long screams. The coyotes and screech owls in these woods are plentiful, but with all the research, neither animal can make the sound of that woman screaming. It sounds like it is coming from the stone cabin. I also hear eerie noises of scurrying in the loft of my house. I've also been wondering if that stone cabin back there may have something to do with the part of the old Dr. Crowe legend where the government put him into hiding??? It sits upon a cliff and down hill is the creek - so anything could be in that basement (which doesn't have an outside doorhandle or lock). That basement could also go very deep. Very creepy. I have, from time to time, also seen through my out of the corner of my eye, a small dark figure which moves very fast as if it is retrieving something in the backyard and taking it back into the woods. Weird, because we have a food compost pile back there. Wendigo? Melon Head? Just a big raccoon? I will submit pics of some crazy stuff just as soon as I can.

This isn't really a Haunted Story more of just a creepy one of an abandoned amusement park. This would make for a cool discussion I think. Does anyone know why they never tore the rides down after over 30 years and why they closed down in the first place? There are some good pictures and video here from our Oct 2007 visit. Squire's Castle Dinner Party

I just recently stumbled upon the Creepy Cleveland website and started reading the Squires Castle Blogs. I have never posted anything before so here goes. I am 51 yrs old, when I was 19 (that would be 1975) my friends and I spent a lot of time hanging around the Castle. Weekend nights there was sometimes a guitar player, a fire and some smoking going on. People you just met became your friends. One night after midnight a buddy and myself were supposed to meet some people at the castle. Even thought the park was closed we used to park on a side street off river road and walk there. As we approached we saw no signs of anyone. No lights or glow of cigarette. We entered in the main doorway and as we were in the central hall we both heard and saw something that has made me the butt of quite a few jokes ever since. For over 30 yrs now no one really believes me. Sadly my friend was in a car accident soon after and received a severe blow to the head. He is now mentally handicapped and could not possibly verify the story. Well here goes. We were very mildly buzzed and in no way on anything. In the room to the right as we entered was a dinner party. There was a long table with maybe 8 to 10 people eating and laughing. We heard no noise until we entered the castle and then all the sudden there was a boisterous party. We stood what seemed like a long minute and no one looked toward us. We fled very fast. It was after midnight and that was not just some kids. Their dress and ages placed them from 30 to 70 years old. They looked out of place and yet as if they belonged. I have never wavered in this story but even my wife and kids think I am just making it up or I was higher then I let on.

Attached is a picture of Dr.Crowe's stone driveway marker that was on Wisner Rd. Kirtland Ohio.
It use to be about 300 feet north of the spring which is shut down now.
The marker is in Mentor on the lake Ohio now. Don't know how they got it?

I know this isn't Cleveland related, but I had to share.

Some friends of mine are traveling the New England states this week and are keeping in touch via email. Last night I got some photos of what they saw yesterday.

Stephen King's House. Awesome.

I'm a huge Stephen King fan and I'm amused to see that his house looks as normal as it does. Notice the front gate, however. The bats atop each fence post and the spiderweb designs in the grating. That's pretty cool.

I can't help thinking that Mr. King and his family have got to get pretty tired of tourists stopping outside his house and taking pictures all day long, but then I see the bats and I wonder if he doesn't think it's pretty cool being admired by so many.

Either way, I thought these pics were cool and I wanted to share. Thanks Terry!

Just How Weird Is Ohio?

So tonight I dragged my wife and daughter up to Fairview Park library to see James A Willis' presentation: Just How Weird Is Ohio?
If he's in your neck of the woods I highly recommend making time to check it out. James spent about 90 minutes giving a really entertaining presentation on some of Ohio's weirdest attractions, urban legends, ghosts stories and miscellaneous folklore.
At one point afterwards he opened the floor to questions and I was excited to hear questions about Gravity Hill, the Melon Heads, and Gore Orphanage. At one point someone asked where exactly Gore Orphanage is located. After a few minutes of people trying to clarify exactly where the 'allegedly haunted' part of Gore Orphanage was, I piped up and suggested that I have an online map of a bunch of haunted locations in northern Ohio and Gore Orphanage was one of them!
I certainly didn't want to take anything away from James' presentation or his excellent Ghosts of Ohio website, but I'll admit that I enjoyed pimping Creepy Cleveland a little bit and hopefully generated some new traffic for myself as well.
All in all it was a really great way to kick off October. I'm glad I stuck around afterwards to meet James and chat a little about some of our common interests. (I wish I would have brought my 'Weird US' book for him to autograph...damn.) He's an excellent presenter and a genuinely nice guy and I highly recommend attending one of his presentations (check his website for the calendar of events).

Riders Inn

I noticed there aren't any stories really about Riders Inn in Painesville. I've lived in Lake County my entire life and being born in Painesville, I grew up hearing stories about Riders Inn. Now, keep in mind, my story was told to me second hand from my mother and father, (so I might be a little off) who had their honey moon there, and I was warned, never to stay over night at Riders Inn, because of what happened to my parents.I still have never set foot on the grounds but I always remember what my mom told me as I drive past, maybe you will too. Anyway, here is what my mother told me as a kid.

Mom and Dad had checked in and gotten settled in for the night. Shes a ghost hunter like me, any where she goes, she checks for unusual things, just in case. I guess thats where I get it from. Anyway, she says, they fell asleep around 11pm and a few hours later, her and my dad were woken up by a loud crash. When they looked around my dad spotted a lamp, that had been on the night stand next to my mom, all the way across the room. Mom said she freaked out, but dad just cleaned it up, and went back to bed and fell back to sleep. My mom was on edge all night, she had heard the stories too, the ghost girl wandering the halls, scaring the patrons of the Inn. Eventually, mom said she fell asleep too, about an hour or so later, (mom said right before dawn) she woke up again, and there was a girl standing at the foot of their bed, just staring at them. She got so freaked out she shook my dad awake, but when he looked she was gone. After that they changed rooms and complained to the manager. The rest of their stay was undisturbed.

Like I said, I was a little kid when she told this to me, but it still gives me the creeps every time I drive past the Inn. My story might be a little off, but what can you do about a child's memory right? Just something to think about the next time your at the Inn.



Oh, and by the way, I'm 20 now, and getting married this May, maybe we'll stay at the Inn too, just to see what happens. :)

I am a big fan of your site, and thought you would really like these pictures.
I have alot of pictures of where the house in the woods (witch's house?) used to stand. They left the basement more or less intact. And i'm betting they will cover it all up before they leave. Halloween Haunted Houses

I almost forgot.

A couple weeks ago (while pondering the Bloodview Midsummer Nightmare), I worked up a quick Google Map of area haunted houses for this upcoming Halloween season.

Every year, we pick two haunted houses (they're getting expensive!) to go to and I was trying to get a feel for where they are. Anybody interested in helping out? I think I got all the popular houses (at least the houses that were in operation last year). Do you know of any new ones? Any that I missed?

Gore Orphanage?

I just took my daughter and her friends to the Gore Orphanage "area".
I'm not exactly sure if we were at the right spot. Do you know the
specific directions of the "site"? We were definitely in the right
area, found an old well. It was night time, around 1am when we
arrived. We got lost in the woods until around 5am. We heard and seen
some strange things, unsure if it was paranormal or animals in the
woods. We were of course scared, lost and paranoid at the time. I
want to go back but back to the site of the orphanage. I just need
directions for after you cross the bridge on the road that has no
outlet. Thank you.

Here's a Story (Lake Erie College)

First I love your myspace and your site! Very awesome.

Well here is my story. My dad used to work for Lake Erie College as the boiler man. With his job we had full access to the college after hours. We were allowed to visit and use the facilities, like the pool and gym, as long as it wasn't during normal operating hours.

I must say LEC is a very creepy place at night. I remember going to the pool at night. The pool was in the basement below the gymnasium. The ground floor or first floor also had a room, which I suspect now that it was used for the coach or some office official. Anyway in that room it had a very large painting of an old lady. When you stood in the room and walked around her eyes followed you.

In the gym you could hear footsteps and in the pool you could hear splashing and laughter.

One day my mom and my sister went into a room that was attached off of the gym that was for gym equipment. Anyway they found these steps and went up them. Then they saw a mirror and heard a girl scream. So they ran out. I wouldn't go in with them. The room was normally locked and we couldn't access, but whatever this one night we could. Well later that night they got brave and tried to go in there again and well although the door would open it was instead full of basketballs and the like - not like it was a mere hour or so before. My sister was totally freaked out.

I remember all of the stories from the cleaning people and teachers at the college. They would all say how they would hear footsteps in the hallway and knocks at their doors and no one would be there. I have also heard the story about the building with the piano in it. Beautiful piano - but people could hear it playing at night. Supposedly someone has to play better than this ladies son to stop those hauntings.

And then there is the girl who hung herself in the bell tower. But she isn't a bothersome ghostly type.

Just thought I would share some first and second hand experiences. I am getting creeped out just thinking about them.

Franklin Castle Tour

A friend of mine, Chris, and his wife Brenda took a tour of Franklin Castle the other night. Chris took a lot of pictures and I've spent the day perusing them for any signs of anything paranormal. So far, no luck. The tour sounded like a good time anyway... I'll let him tell the story:

It was very interesting. but kinda uneventful. I used to get an uneasy feeling in my grandfathers basement and I really expected that there, but nothing. The house is in pretty bad shape, the fire caused a lot of smoke damage which is still present. It was really cool. The guy that was doing the tour I kinda expected to be all gothed-out and trying to be spooky, but he wasn't. He was very knowledgable of the history. He actually debunked a lot of the urban legend. They are putting $3 million dollars into it and they are making it a social club memberships are $5000 a person though. It's gonna be a non profit preservation society with a hundred year lease on the house from him and the woman Michelle who own it. She is the "California" lady but she actually only lived in California for a short time. She was born here and moved back here. ... I took 288 pics and there was only one questionable thing in the pics that I saw so far. I generally think that orbs are just dust, but there was a pretty bright spot on the wall on the 4th floor, and I took multiple pics of the same spot but it only shows up in pic. one funny thing is as Brenda and I were going to the third floor, we saw this black flash, we later found out it was a bat, LOL! but for a couple of minutes we weren't sure. It was pretty cool he took about 2 hours for the tour and then he let you walk around the house for as long as you want, you can go anywhere you want unsupervised. The reason that he doesn't want audio or video taken is that they are in the process of filming a documentary, and he doesn't want a ton of video of his tour going out on the net and hurting the documentary sales. They are doing it to raise money for the restoration. He seemed genuinely interested in saving the house for future generations not in hyping up the haunted part just for money.

A Story...

So a few friends and I the other night decided to go out to kirtland and go to cry baby bridge and all that nonsense. Well nothing happened as usual and my friend said that we should go to the KKK houses. I have never heard of them. The kkk houses are 2 abandoned home located on Hayes dr. right across the street from Squires castle. You pull down hayes and go all the way down until you reach a no trespassing sign. From what i have heard the two houses were used to hold any non caucaison people in and torture. When you walk up to the first house you see a bunch of cages on the side of the path that they apperantly removed from the first home and they use to hold the people in these cages. The second home is a little bit deeper in the woods, You walk through a wood doorway that is located on hayes and follow the paths until you cross a bridge and not too far is the home. I am assuming that people still party there because there was newer lawn chairs just sitting there. There was also an spperant confederate flag hanging on a flag pole but i couldnt see the flag because it was so dark. We didn't go into either of the homes because we only had cell phones for light. I am curious to see if the kkk houses are really kkk houses not just abandonded homes. It makes for a great story and another place to add to your website. If you find anything out it would be great if u could let me know the REAL story of the 'kkk' houses.

Hell has frozen over

Creepy Cleveland has a MySpace Page.

I half-heartedly put up a page on MySpace a couple months back so I could see what the fuss was all about and almost immediately regretted my decision.

After a few months of spam invites and hassles I finally got a message from a person who really was interested in Creepy Cleveland. So I got off my ass and did some digging and searching in an attempt to make the place presentable.

After some tweaks and sweat and cursing, I think I've got something. Well, at least I'm not embarrassed by it anymore.

Here's to increased traffic!

Yep. It's true. I got an email from a reporter from West Life News wanting to know if I would mind answering some questions for an upcoming book (or article, I'm not sure yet - I was too excited to care).

Squire's Castle Photo

Hello,
I had just found your website while talking with family about Squires Castle.
I have lived in the Lake Co. area my whole life and have been going there since I was very small. I now take my kids there-
Each trip I am always taking pictures of the castle. Last year on Mother's Day, we took the kids to the park and I decided to start taking pictures with my children in different places of the castle to later put together in a frame all together. I have had that picture on the bookshelf and never really looked at it.
While on my computer looking at the 'ghost' in my house that I happened to catch on film we decided to look closer at all the pictures that I had taken at the castle to see if there was anything caught.
Well, upon looking at the umpteenth picture, we saw it! I have a picture of a shadow looking out of the castle towards my son. I know for a fact there was no one in the castle at the time I took the picture. I have had way to many pictures ruined because of some nut case making faces while I was snapping pictures-
Anyway I thought that you might find the picture as interesting as we all did. Look in the window on the left of the photo, under the 'stripes' - The next photo is a close up of that window.

I also wanted to tell you what a GREAT site you have put together! I found myself reading into the wee hours of the morning to all the information that you have.

Melon Head Meltdown

Creepy Cleveland,

I recently graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking. For my senior cinematography thesis I used the Melonheads as my subject. The thesis was on stop-motion effects. It is very reminiscent of the animated meltdown sequence from EVIL DEAD. Tom Sullivan, the make-up effects artist on EVIL DEAD 1 & 2 helped me out, giving me advice and encouragement over phone conversations and email.

I'm originally from Painesville, OH, a neighboring city of Mentor and Kirtland, all in Lake County. I'm working on a feature involving various Kirtland lore, which I think will stand out from the current Melonhead productions.

Squire's Castle

I moved to Lake County, OH in '94 from California. Moved back to California in '97...I can't wait to visit Squires again. There is definately something about it, something special. After loosing a best friend: Jason Michael Scarcelli in '97...me & a group of friends choose Squires to drink & smoke the night away and to mourn the loss of one of the greatest dudes we ever knew. I swear that night in the west wing of the castle, as we all stood silent in front of the fire....occasionally laughing & reminiscing about our pal, I know we all felt something special. Now I am not saying the castle is haunted, I am simply implying that I felt something. Whether it was my friend looking down on us from his cloud...or something else, what a feeling. That place is special to me, what I wouldn't give to be back there in '96 drinkin' one with some of the best friends I could have ever had. Keep her clean, & someone please take more photos!

Creepy Cleveland Maps

Have you seen the new Google 'My Maps' yet? It's pretty cool. I'm using it to track the locations of many Creepy Cleveland locations. I made the Creepy Cleveland Map public in order to try to attract some fresh visitors, but I want to know what everybody else thinks too. The link is over on the right under 'Important Links'. Click on the push-pin icons to get links to stories and posts about the more popular locations. Click the map-marker icon to read a story or post about a location you may not have heard of.

If, while checking it out, you notice something wrong - let me know and I'll fix it. A lot of the locations are fairly easy to spot using Google Maps hybrid feature, but some are so out-of-the-way or vague that I may have gotten it wrong.

Whenever I have a decent picture of the location I'll include it on the map pop-up. If you've got a picture of a place (or a better pic that I've got) and want to share - send it in!

Earthquake near Cleveland? Or was it?

I realize that this is not a normal CreepyCleveland type of story but think it is an excellent forum to discus anything unknown or mysterious. I want to start by saying I am not trying to say that I know what’s going on, quite the contrary, I don't think we will ever know what is going on, but putting this out to see if anyone else feels that last week's "earthquake" sounds fishy. I am very inquisitive in general but not what I would consider a conspiracy quack. I live in Bedford Ohio, and on Tuesday march 13th 2007, I received a somewhat frantic call from a friend who lives in Streetsboro. "Did you feel that explosion?!" he asked, and since I was extremely tired when I got home from work and fell asleep around 6pm, I hadn't felt anything. This was about 8:15pm, he went on to tell me that around 7:15 he and his kids heard a loud explosion and a few seconds later felt a shock hit their mobile home. He said it felt as though it hit from the southeast and move through to the northwest. it rattled things off the shelves, but it only lasted for a second or two, then nothing. He ran outside and found neighbors also out trying to see what happened, they looked for a smoke plume and saw nothing. He, his wife, and kids then went out driving to try and discover what happened. he was alarmed (and intrigued) enough that they drove around until after 9:00 and the only thing they saw out of the ordinary was a truck (or trucks, I am not sure how many) that he described as big box trucks that were yellow and the only thing written on them was "Hazardous Material Containment and Disposal Unit". These trucks were very near the Ravenna Arsenal, heading toward it. for those of you who are not familiar with the Ravenna arsenal, it is a very large US Army base (over 21,000 acres in size) which has been an Ordnance plant and ammunition dump since before World War Two. There have been many rumors surrounding the arsenal, not the least of which that large amounts of chemical & biological agents, and nuclear weapons are stored there, and in less than proper conditions. [Check out] Google Maps the large gray blob you will see the upper right hand corner is the base. If you go on Google Earth and look at it you will see hundreds of dots in lined up perfectly in geometric grids, I am pretty sure these are what they call "magazines" or "Igloo type bunkers", which are small concrete bunkers covered in a mound of earth which are designed to store high explosives and are strategically placed in case there is an accidental ignition, that they won't cause a chain reaction and ignite other magazines. there are persisting rumors that there are miles and miles of underground facility which house much more dangerous munitions. You can zoom in and scroll around the base and you will see many area's of land which are extremely discolored, presumably from leaking hazardous waste, although that can't be confirmed. Getting back to my story, after I talked to my first friend I decided to see if another friend had heard (or felt) anything, he lives in Deerfield which is just on the other side of Ravenna. he informed me that he had been in Akron around that time and didn't hear anything, however he called me up later (about 9:30) to tell me that he heard a rumbling and ran outside to see large military transport planes (probably c-130's) coming over his house at tree top level, he said the sound was deafening. I am telling you all this purely because I felt it was odd and that it may or may not be coincidental. Since the 90's the base has been scaled back and quote-unquote used as a "Training Facility and Logistics" for the National Guard, but I have also heard that it was abandoned by the Army and there was only a skeleton crew of security officers there. I spend much time as I was growing up at west branch state park which is not far from there and it was very common to see formations of multiple hueys, chinooks, blackhawks, and even sikorsky sky cranes moving in and out of there. even as late as 2000, (the last time I was there on a regular basis) I would see multiple, as many as 8 to 10 helicopters flying in very tight formation going into the base at very low level. So I hardly think that it’s inactive. According to ohiohistorycentral.org "Much of the site is now the Ohio National Guard's Ravenna Training and Logistics Site, with the Ohio National Guard using the Ravenna Arsenal for training. Approximately 1,481 acres of the Ravenna Arsenal have been deemed environmentally contaminated and efforts to make the site safe for human use are underway at the start of the twenty-first century." and according to wikipedia "The site is now used as a training facility for National Guard and Reserve units. As of 2006, it is a Superfund site and plans to burn some of the buildings at the site were being discussed. However, an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) work group has recently recommended that the Army not burn the buildings due to the high levels of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in the paint[3]. The Army is now looking at alternatives to burning the buildings, but the buildings are also contaminated with explosives, which make traditional methods of demolition dangerous for workers." I found these pics and audio report at http://www.wksu.org/news/story/18290 There are multiple possibilities for what happened, and an earthquake is certainly one of them, however, being someone who is (at least I feel) mildly intelligent, I can't help but question and wonder what really happened. the latest news, I heard Friday (the 16th) on the local morning news that a middle school in Beloit, which is near Alliance and probably with in 10 to 15 miles of the arsenal, got shutdown and quarantined (with all the children in it), with no information being given to the parents for hours on why their children were locked in their school. The media said that over 30 kids had broken out in a seemingly unexplainable rash, and that in their best interest, the building was quarantined until they could discover the cause. The official cause given was "We don’t know, but it's probably from cleaning agent used at the school", this seems to be a very flimsy reason. If there was an accident at the arsenal, neighboring communities could be at risk, however because of the probable deplorable conditions condoned for over 60 years, it probably will never be admitted to, the civil liabilities alone would be staggering. I only present this information, so that possibly it sparks you into researching the situation (and others) yourself, because if we don't then who will. As I said at the outset, I don't know what’s going on, but it's human nature to question the world around us, and if we didn't we would never advance our cumulative knowledge, so always ask why!.
