How is this site organized?
How this site is organized.
This site is organized with tags. In the side panel you will find a list of the tags and the number of posts for each tag. Simply click on a tag to be taken to a collection of posts relating to that category. What categories are available? How is a post categorized? Glad you asked:
Announcements: Announcements and news regarding the Creepy Cleveland site itself. State-Of-The-Blog messages and technical stuff related to administration of the site.
ContributedStories: The real reason for Creepy Cleveland!! The stories!! Creepy Cleveland 1.0 had a ton of stories, but it was difficult maintaining comments and questions about each one. The blog interface should make it easier for people who have questions to ask them and get answers. I'm excited about this feature. Under Creepy Cleveland 1.0 I had a hell of a time (no pun intended) categorizing stories. If you remember the old site you may remember lots of stories and comments about the really popular haunts (like: Franklin Castle, MelonHeads, Highway to Hell...etc) My intention is to tag contributed stories with additional tags where appropriate and provide a site-flavored search box to allow visitors to get to the content they are looking for.
Questions: I'll often get questions for directions or advice emailed under the pretense that myself or a site visitor may be able to answer. This category is similar to the Creepy Cleveland 1.0 "Question of the Month", except now questions are easy to find, answer and share!
GhostPhotos: Submissions or stories that include a photograph purported to contain a ghost, orb or other unexplainable apparition.
LINKS:
Links will be posted to the blog as they are received or found. Similar links may be posted in groups under one blog post. All links however, will be archived in del.icio.us. RSS feeds will be made available.
Friends: Links from other like-minded sites. I want to stress local (northern Ohio) sites, but anyone is welcome. We could all use the traffic.
Media: Links to stories or news in the media. Every year around Halloween, the media here in Cleveland is always good for at least a few urban legends and ghost sightings stories. Unfortunately the links tend to die eventually. Keeping them organized should help me prune dead links sooner.
Interesting: Other links that have some amount of content of interest to Creepy Clevelanders
